denton_full_LRAs someone who is an uncommon blend of science geek and creative soul, Denton contributes a great deal to the right-brain and left-brain mentality of 80amps. Denton earned her Ph.D. in Pharmacology/Toxicology from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, with an emphasis in Immunology and Neuroendocrinology.

After completing her post-doctoral studies in neuroimmunology research, she worked as a scientist and consultant in the pharmaceutical and medical industries, and additionally gained extensive clinical experience with a CRO as a project manager and senior medical writer.

But Denton has not only been immersed in scientific endeavors, serving as the director of digital innovation, creative strategist, and copywriter for an advertising agency. She also has experience as an entrepreneur, starting and growing a successful accessory design firm.

Denton’s business landed her the coveted Muse Award, presented by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to businesses offering the greatest creative contribution to the community. Denton was also a finalist for the National Association of Women Business Owner’s (NAWBO) Rising Star Award for 2 consecutive years, and she received the Top 40 Under 40 award: Style Weekly Magazine’s Top 40 Under 40, given to successful young professionals who give back to the community.
