Eric Martin / Founder & CEO
Eric Martin’s 20-year career includes successful operating experience as an entrepreneur, CEO (software, consumer products & services, professional services), strategist global consultancy partner), and change agent (business transformation, turnarounds and start-ups). Expertise includes: strategy formation and execution on behalf of corporate clients, advertising agencies (in support of new business pitches and innovation initiatives), and industry associations; brand positioning for clients in business-to-business, consumer and non-profit sectors; operational improvement for a host of major U.S. and Canadian corporations; thought leadership in the areas of innovation and new product/service development.
Eric is currently a professor at the University of Richmond, where he serves as the Director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program at Robins School of Business. He was previously a professor of entrepreneurship and innovation at the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce and co-led the Galant Center for Entrepreneurship. He has also lectured at VCU’s Brandcenter on driving wealth creation through creativity.
Eric was previously President of TM Vista and a member of Ticketmaster’s Global Leadership Group. TM Vista was formed following the acquisition of 2b Technology by Ticketmaster in early 2000. Eric, then CEO and one of the company’s two shareholders, along with the team at 2b, accomplished a successful realignment of the business leading up to its eventual sale.
Eric is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate in Economics from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and holds a Masters in Business Administration from the Harvard Business School.
